Borrowed from our local chess and checkers clubs, our checkerboard pattern is reminiscent of not only our favourite games, but a variety of implementations in mainstream fashion, music and counterculture. Notably recognizable from the lining of trench coats at the turn of the 20th century, the checker pattern and its variants found solace in the British Mod scene of the 1960’s, and later adopted by rebellious punks throughout the 70’s and 80’s. This rectilinear pattern is easy on the eye, simple in its identity and sure to be a compliment to any outfit or occasion.

The signature Swim Trunk cut features an elasticized waist with an ultra fine four-way stretch mesh lining, quick-dry shell, custom-tipped drawstrings and back pocket snap enclosure. Fits true to size.

We want to make sure you can enjoy your Bathers for a long time so here are some tips to keep them looking fresh.
Bather Care Instructions Step 1: Rinse After Chlorine Exposure
Our fabrics go through rigorous testing, both for wear, weathering and everything that life throws at you. Our robust products are built to last, but require nurturing and care for longevity. Fading can occur with long term exposure to UV and chlorine – rinsing your trunks with some clean water after use helps in removing any dirt and chemicals from the surface. Our rule is when your fingers and toes start to wrinkle, it’s probably time to get out of the water.
Bather Care Instructions Step 2: Wash Your Bathers in Cold Water and Hang to Dry
Although your Bathers feel at home in water, you should probably still wash them from time to time with some soap. Regular washing prolongs their life and integrity, ensuring that your favourite pair lasts for years to come. We recommend a hand or machine wash with mild detergent and cold water, and as always, hang dry. Though your Bathers also love the sun, we suggest not letting them sit in direct sunlight to dry. This intensifies fading and bleaching, ruining the integrity of the fabric.
Bather Care Instructions Step 3: Store Your Bathers in a Cool Dry Place
Now that you’re back home after a long day, tuckered out and all washed up, it's time for your Bathers to be folded away for their next adventure. A cool, dry and dark place is best, keeping them crisp and looking good for your next adventure!
